Introduction-Angela Ray

During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
"Come," he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Matt 14:25-30

This story has called to me for many years. I am always challenged by the way Peter responds to Jesus' call to 'Come'. Peter jumps out of the boat and begins walking on water with no fear for his own life. I have always wanted to jump in with both feet when God calls. However, its usually more like how I enter a swimming pool. First I have to test the water with my toes and then slowly work my way in. When God called me to India I tested the water and jumped back because the water was not to my liking. I have never been out of the United States and traveling abroad holds a lot of fears for me. God has faithfully listened as I presented Him with all each fear that I could come up with to rationalize why I shouldn't go. He must have called the wrong Angela, and each time He would remind me that He is God and I am not. As I write this I can say I am excited for this trip. I can't wait to see what God has in store for our team and the people we will meet. I pray that God would use me to reach the world for Him and that I would learn to dive into the “joy of His presence and the pleasures of living with Him forever.” Psalms 16:11. Thank you for your support for me and for the team as we take this journey!

Introduction - Shannon Batson

I will go, I will go, I will go Lord, send me
To the world, to the lost,
to the poor and hungry.
Take everything I am,
I'm clay within your hand,
I will go, I will go, send me.
(Song by Starfield)

Hi! My name is Shannon Batson and this is going to be my 2nd trip to India. I was blessed to go last year with the team from church and I absolutely fell in love with India. My heart was broken by what I saw in the 10 days I was there and I will forever have a heart for the people of India as well as a heart for the world.

I am absolutely thrilled that I get to return this year with some of my old team members and new ones. I don’t know what God has planned for us, but I pray that we would all be His hands and feet to the people of India. Thanks for your support!

Introduction - Jen King

“My life is worth nothing unless I use it for the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus… the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love” – Acts 20:24

I'm Jen King - and now more than ever - I know the truth in this verse! Since my decision to follow Jesus it has been my passion to serve. I have participated in several service roles and found great JOY in drawing others to Jesus as a teacher, youth leader and administrative support to our church body. I've been consistently BLESSED by each of these opportunities but also challenged to step outside my comfort zone. Last year was my first trip to India, my first trip ANYwhere really. I would not have imagined myself in a foreign land - much less INDIA! Little did I know God had planted seeds of love that would grow so beautifully on that journey. I now have a passion for the people of India that goes beyond words. This year I was surprised by the blessing of our plans to return, and further honored to accept a co-leader role! GOD IS SO GOOD -He ALONE could create these connections and remind me of my purpose... I am called to share the GOOD NEWS of his kindness and love with His children - ANYWHERE he sends me! I cannot wait to see His greatness on this trip...

Introduction - Renae Niebergall

My name is Renae Niebergall. I am traveling back to India for my 3rd time. I was first in India in 2007 and fell in love with this amazing country. I have been traveling and leading teams internationally since 2003. God has given me a passion for our world and those living with injustice, AIDS, as orphans and in extreme poverty. It is a true blessing to lead this team alongside my co-leader Jennifer King. Together we give this trip to God and ask him to lead our plans. We pray that His will be done as we serve the children of the brothels, children living with AIDS and orphans. Thank you for praying alongside us as we journey down this path God has laid before us.
